There are many forms of meditation, but simply put it is allowing your mind to be totally present. Most commonly meditation is practiced by relaxing the body and focusing the mind. However, meditation can also be when you are totally focused in the moment. One of the reasons we enjoy sport so much is that it focuses the mind in the present. So much of the time our minds are thinking about what we did yesterday or last week or earlier in the day, or we are thinking about someone or something else, or even focusing on the future. We are at our happiest when we are 'in the moment'.

A form of 'moving meditation' is Karmayoga. Michael Rowland has described Karmayoga as "The unbroken concentration in the present through the actions that you are taking."  1   He describes the way to achieve this is to "concentrate on the physical actions of your chosen activity to the exclusion of all else." 2
