      Mark Flanigan is a Qualified Naturopath with an Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy, a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutrition, and a Bachelor of Health Science in Herbal Medicine. He qualifed from ACNM (The Australian College of Natural Medicine), where he studied in both Brisbane and the Gold Coast. A Naturopath is a Natural Medicine practitioner who uses Nutrition, Herbs, Homeopathics, plus Vitamin and Mineral Supplements to optimise an individual's health so healing can take place automatically. A Naturopathic consultation with a Practitioner generally consists of an Iris analysis (iridology), assessment of zinc levels (via a simple taste test), medical history taking including any relevant family medical history, present condition check up, blood pressure testing, and requests for any specialist pathology tests that may be required. Naturopaths can order a host of laboratory tests, such as blood, saliva, stool and urine, to determine the exact functioning of many systems within the body. These include hormone, thyroid, bacterial status, and markers for disease conditions, such as cancer markers.

      Naturopaths in general do not specialise in any specific disease condition, but are able to assist almost any health complaint by assisting the person to optimise their health. They do this by treating the cause of the illness, rather than simply the symptoms. As with any profession, in Natural Medicine there are very good practitioners, and also those who are not so good. On the Gold Coast there are indeed some very good Naturopaths. If you have a serious complaint and have been unable to obtain assistance via Natural Medicine Practitioners, I would still very much encourage you to seek additional consultations with qualified and experienced practitioners until you do find one that can assist you. In fact, the author of this website recently had a client who has finally achieved a good result to her condition, a rather serious health issue that was having a major impact in her lifestyle, after 5 years of treatments! In that 5 years, Mark had tried many, many different approaches in an attempt to treat her condition, and because he always had more options available despite exhausting many options, she stuck with Mark and now she has finally achieved the goal that she was seeking.

      Mark was the consultant Naturopath/Nutritionist at the Fountain of Life Cinic, in Arundel on the Gold Coast. He worked there for over 12 months, mainly advising Natural and Alternative Treatments for Cancer clients. He also assisted with ECG and stress ECG tests, spirometry, GO2 altitude training sessions, VO2 max testing, BIA/VLA tests, comprehensive dietary analysis, weight loss programs, far infrared sauna sessions, anti-ageing, and much more. The Fountain of Life Clinic has since become the Life 4 Ever Clinic, still based on the Gold Coast, where they no longer perform Natural/Alternative Cancer treatments, but they still do perform comprehensive health assessments and provide antiaging therapies.
